Are you creating something big? Are you sharing your ideas with the world? And, are you afraid?
Perfect!
Fear has a message for you.
You’re onto something important.
If you’re working on an idea and it came from a clean place, and you’re still scared, it’s a good sign. It means you’re doing meaningful work, pushing your boundaries, and on track to making a difference in the world.
When I first learned to drive, it was scary. When I first started coaching, I had sweaty palms every time I talked with a client. When I first dated my husband, I was nervous.
But now, fear doesn’t come up when I drive to the grocery store. It doesn’t stop me in my tracks when I get on the phone with a new client. It doesn’t freak me out when I go on a date with my husband. Why? Because those things aren’t new anymore.
When you launch your new product, share your art with the world, talk to that first client, or do something new that you’ve never done before, you will be nervous or afraid or worried. And that’s okay!
Let me tell you again:
Your fear is telling you you’re onto something important.
If you’re moving toward something big, something world-changing, you will feel fear, worry, panic, resistance, stress, anxiety, and a host of emotions. Great! It means you’re onto something important. Here’s to saving the world, superhero!
