You’re someone who wants to make a difference in the world, aren’t you? (I love people like you.) Through your business, you really change lives. (I love that you do that!)
In today’s video I’m going to talk about how to maximize the do-good factor in your business. I share with you three small ways you can impact more lives than you already are, really transforming the world in positive, powerful ways:
- Donate your skills and time to help those who couldn’t otherwise work with you
- Financially support causes you believe in
- Leverage your fan base to make a bigger impact
I’m also going to let you in on my latest mission–something that scares me more than I dare let on.
Check out today’s video and I’ll tell you what I’m up to. At 2:17 I dish the scoop on my big plan for this summer.
Together, we can all really, truly make a difference in the world. Let’s do this!

Jenny,
I love your videos not only because they are super genius but also because I feel like you are talking directly to my soul.
I had a meeting yesterday with a local business who I will be working with to host a fundraiser for Girls On The Run (i enjoy running and love kids) donating my proceeds of my book sales. I’m super excited and thrilled that you shared what I have begun. It makes it that much more powerful for me (and my birthday is next month so it counts).
Chicago love,
Sandy

Girls on the Run is such a great organization! I know that when I started running in high school is really helped with my self-esteem, so the fact that Girls on the Run starts girls even earlier than that is huge!
Thanks for being here and for making a difference in the world!

Happy Birthday Jenny!
The “Do Good Factor” actually happens to be a passion of mine, so I hope to make a difference through my new biz soon.
But for now, I use my artistic background to teach art to adults with disabilities and run an annual art show fundraiser with their artwork and donations for them the raise money for programming. I really look forward to every meeting with them, and they love it!
Thanks for spreading the ‘do good’ love,
Kristy
Jenny Shih says
You totally are a do-gooder, Kristy!
Thanks a million for your donation to my campaign! Honestly I can’t thank you enough!!!

I love this! A couple years ago I asked everyone to donate what they would have spent on my birthday present to a charity they thought I would love. I loved it! I did not need anymore stuff and deserving people got some much needed love.
I work with a lot of Moms and have been toying with the idea of offering my nutrition and exercise services in local shelters, putting together packages for new single Moms in hospitals to help deal with the overwhelm of it all, or something along those lines. Since I am just starting out it is fun and awesome to be able to give back right from the get go 🙂
Thank you for your good energy, Jenny!

Sounds like you’re quite the giver, too. Most of us don’t really need anything, and it’s nice to use occasions like this to make donations to good causes.
Thanks for sharing your story here!
