I’m back in the groove of business, slowly putting my post-vacation inspiration into action.
First up is today’s surprising post, which found itself in my head one day while I was sitting on the beach. I grabbed a rock and etched it into a coconut so I wouldn’t forget what I wanted to tell you. Here goes…
Taking a vacation is great for several reasons. Obviously, it’s fun. But even better, it’s great for your business.
Preparing your business for vacation helps you create a more efficient business. That’s what I shared with you last week when I told you the exact steps for creating a business that runs itself while you’re on vacation.
Even better than that are the benefits to your business after you come back from vacation.
Confused? Yeah, this one was a head-scratcher for me at first, too. Which is exactly why you must watch today’s video.
Be careful – it may give you an undeniable nudge to take that much-needed trip to the tropics. You may not be able to resist booking your trip after seeing a few photos from my trip – also included in today’s video!
Check it out below.
“Taking a vacation is good for you AND good for your business.” Tweet that!
What about you? Are you ready to reap the rewards of a vacation in your business?
Could your business benefit from you taking some time off?
Have you taken a break from your business? Did it help you in the ways I mentioned above?
I can’t wait to hear your stories and insights in the comments below.
As always, thank you so much for watching! If you enjoyed this video, please share it with a friend.

Wow Jenny! 5 years since your last vacation! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. This one is a lesson I learned the hard way a few years back. I learned that for me, it’s super important to take regular little mini-vacations. The downtown serves my energy, creativity and productivity immensely well, and I am all the better for it.

My husband is a huge fan of mini vacations, too! He makes sure we get away at least one night a month. I enjoy them, of course, and need the extended times away, too. You’re right about the energy, creativity, and productivity boost that results from any time way. Yay for vacations!

Ya for vacations is right! 🙂

Yay for vacations!!!! Yes! You are absolutely tan!!
Over a year ago, my hubby sent me to Hawaii. It was the most relaxing time I experienced since before I had kids! lol
During my vacation, I was able to gain SO MUCH clarity and plan for the new year ahead. I was able to plan and started a business a few months later!
It was amazing how I was so confused for months, and during that vacation, a light bulb went on! I totally feel you on the amazing ideas you had during your time away from your business! <3
Thank you for your awesome-sauce videos!
xoxo

So fun to hear you had a very similar experience, Vicky! It blew my mind, too, how much 2 weeks of “nothing” created such an amazing level of clarity in my business.
Thanks for your kind words about my tan and my videos! xo

Hi Jenny,
I totally believe in vacations! I have just ticked over my first year in business and we are about to take another annual vacation to the US (I am from Australia). This time last year I had only been in business a few months and was anxious about taking 6 weeks off, but I had a similar experience to you – the ideas flowed, my clients didn’t leave me because I was on leave (in fact I got an email from one while I was away booking a substantial piece of work) and I came back refreshed and ready to go again.
Love the photos at the end of the video – stunning!
