You can’t skip this if you really want to “make it.” The best part is that it’s not even difficult or time-consuming.
Check out today’s video, and start taking action!

Jenny, this is a hard one for me: Show up every day! Thanks for this one today.
Jenny Shih says
Put it in your calendar. 15 min every morning. Make it as non-negotiable as brushing your teeth. You can do this!
Susan Foster says
p.s. I tweeted about it!

Jenny, I have been trying, I have been of service. I got very good and positive reactions from a lot of people (people that were a little suspicious at the beginning, somebody that wants to help for free?? uh??)
Problem is I cannot see where the limit is. Am I doing to much without charging anything? I am revealing too much of my own knowledge?
I did not dare yet to put up a paying offer on my site…showing up makes me really uncomfortable I guess.
Jenny Shih says
Yes, some people think it’s strange, but that’s their problem 🙂
You, my dear, need to put up your paid services on your site! Why is it uncomfortable? What are you making it mean if you get paid for your work? Sounds like a little support from a life coach could really help you here.
Showing up online is about helping in bite-sized doses, not giving away the whole shebang for free. That’s the limit. If people want to get on the phone for free and you say yes (but that’s otherwise something you’d charge for), then that’s past the limit.

Jenny, thanks for your wise words and support once again. I am going to research that life coach option, it might be necessary ! I keep you posted. All the best.

I declared this last week. I landed an awesome keynote last weekend and ended up selling 7 books while I was at home sleeping after the event.
I am actually “talking” about my business now and connecting with other influencers and I have seen a good shift.
It’s totally weird for people to run up to you at an event or in public and know who you are, but that’s part of what I do.
I’m further refining and redefining and evolving and it feels awesome.
Jenny Shih says
Awesome, Ty! I remember the first time I attended an event and people came up to me to introduce themselves. It was wild! I’m so impressed with your persistence — you are a role model in that regard. Way to go!

This was a perfect reminder because one of my 2014 goals was to “show up”! And like a lot of people I’ve slacked off on those great big goals I set at the beginning of the year! Your biz advice is alway just at the perfect time!
