So true. Fastest way to get stuck is to use those nasty words. Great advice as always!
Jenny Shih says
So glad you agree!!
Allison Crow says
Truth Sister. A major TURN off when I hear those words!
Jenny Shih says
Love seeing you here, Allison! And that you definitely aren’t someone who lets herself get stuck here!
Sara says
Agreed! Such an easy way to rob yourself of your own power!
Jenny Shih says
High five, Sara! Love to see go getter women like you here!

I was so curious at your tag line.
My first reaction was — “I don’t do that. I’m so positive.” I totally am. I’ll work through anything — that’s just who I am. I realized though that I’d kind of closed the door to making my new business work. I didn’t use those exact words — There’s no way to route this target audience to my site. It was easier to say that than to try. I don’t know — but I am sure going to try!
Thanks!
Jenny Shih says
Nathalie, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your honestly. WOW! Way to go! That takes guts to admit and comment on. I’m so impressed with you! High five!
Getting an online business off the ground isn’t easy, but it is so worth all of the struggles it takes to make it happen. Keep at it!
Deane says
I usually find that the moment that thought pops into my mind, whatever it is I’m resisting is EXACTLY the thing I need to do to move my business (or myself) forward.
Thanks for the reminder!
Jenny Shih says
So true, Deane! Smart thinking and thanks for sharing that here! Such a great insight!

So true – seems easy enough right. But asking HOW can be so powerful. I have a coaching call next week. And I’m almost 100% sure I can use your advice and help my client by reframing his attitude. Thank you!
Jenny Shih says
Excellent!! Yes, HOW is powerful and can change everything. I hope this helps with your client!
Tanya McGill Freeman says
You know, regardless of the face(s) you make, I adore them ALL, Jenny! HAHA 🙂 Excellent advice, as always. Thx bunches for the reminder. And since success is at least 90% mindset (if not more), then those five words can definitely break your biz. My new mantra, thanks to you: “HOW can this work for my business?”!!! Grateful for all your wisdom, lovie. XO
Jenny Shih says
You’re right — business is a lot about mindset. Love that you’re willing to look at HOW new ideas will work for you. This spells good things for your future!
