Does hitting six figures in your online, service-based business feel like a complete and total mystery?
Do you wonder how you’ll get there without charging obscene prices or working late nights and long weekends?
When I was early on in my business, I wondered the same thing… until one day when the answers to these questions finally *clicked* in my brain. And that shifted everything.
Today we’re going to take the mystery out of hitting six figures. You’ll discover the surprisingly simple formula for getting there and how to apply it in your business.
Be sure to grab a pen and some paper. You’ll want to take notes as you go through this mini workshop.
Now that you see the formula for hitting six figures, it’s time to take action!
Your Action Steps
To get results, you have to follow through, and that’s exactly what I’m going to help you with right now (just like I do with my clients).
Step 1. Watch the whole video. Yes, the whole thing! Take notes and see how the six-figure formula applies to your business.
Step 2. Based on what you learned in the workshop, tell me (1) what’s your six figure stake in the ground and (2) which of the 10 areas of your business do you need to uplevel before you can fully implement your six-figure strategy?
Step 3. Download this free cheat sheet to help you follow through.
Leave a comment below and fill me in! I want to help, but you’ve got to tell me where your gaps are.

Hi Jenny! I’m not looking for six figures but I have always been intrigued by your strategies and enjoyed this mini workshop. Here’s my stake in the ground: 5 ideal clients per month at 4 hours per week, per client. This meets my financial needs x2, giving me some wiggle room to save, travel, etc but doesn’t have me working sun up to sun down. My gaps? Definitely find the ideal client. At the moment I have one ideal client who meets this stake in the ground and three that don’t even come close. Time is less of a factor for me than I have convinced myself, I just need to manage it better.

Love that you put a stake in the ground!!
Great to know about your ideal client and that’s the area that needs the most work. Is it that you don’t know how or where to find this client? Check out this free download I have on 21 ways to find clients: https://jennyshih.com/21ways
And this gives me an idea for another blog post I could write about how to find your clients online, so stay tuned for that!

That’s right, don’t know how or where. I have a general idea after reading your 21 ways download but get stuck on the details. Facebook groups that would benefit me are generally closed to people like me since I cater to realtors and they don’t let non-realtors join. I’m working it actively and already seeing results but would like it to happen faster so I can decline this J-O-B I have accepted foe the income. 🙂

Ask yourself where else Realtors hang out? LinkedIn, Twitter, other online forums like Reddit or Quora? Your people are out there!
Also, guest posting, podcast interviews,… lots of options. I have a client who caters to Realtors as well, so I know your people are out there!
Stay tuned for that other post. We’ve added it to our editorial calendar!

Hello Jenny,
My steak in the ground is £14280/month.
My areas to work on are attracting the right clients, sales and strategic planning.
The biggest insight is how fast you speak, I had to check the speed! Kidding.
I am interested in how to increase my sales. Thank you, I enjoyed this.

I love that you put it out there! And haha on my speaking — I hope you got what you needed 😉
When it comes to increasing sales, is it that you are getting consults but they’re not converting or that you’re not getting enough prospects in the door? (Two different problems, each solved a different way.)

Hi,
I’m even earlier in the process. I like the idea of helping people individually or in small groups. Coaching, professional development, etc…I don’t know what specifically my service would be (I just did a Skillshare class on tea parties as my first side hustle). I have really enjoyed Anna Kunnecke’s Queen Sweep for years although haven’t had the money for the efba.
I don’t know if I want to run my own business versus working for a company. I don’t want to work more than 40-45 hours a week, and I’m not sure if that’s doable or not in the startup phase. To make a go of it I’d really only need to make $50,000/year to make it worth starting but that would need to be after the expenses, extra taxes and any additional benefits costs in paying my own insurance no 401k match etc… So I’m still in the exploring phase. I also just finished my masters in public administration for nonprofits last year and maybe should try something more in my field first, but I’m interested in this too.
Thanks!

Have fun exploring!

Oh, and it doesn’t hurt when it’s exactly what I need to hear 😉

You’re so ready for this!! <3

My stake in the ground is $10,000 a month, my issue is,I do not know how to build a list, I have struggled with building a list for years, I am working on affiliate marketing, but just can’t get the help I need that is affordable, what people want me to pay is so high that if I could spare that kind of money,I probably wouldn’t need there help!
