In this review, I’m going to share with you what Authentic Selling® University is, why I love it, and who I think it’s best suited for (and not for).
Before I get to all of that, I want to start this 100% honest review by being totally upfront with you: Kendrick and I are best friends … but it didn’t start out that way.
Here’s the quick version of our friend-love story:
Back in 2012, Kendrick and I were both participants in a 9-month, high-end mastermind program. I was ramping up my business and Kendrick was diving headfirst into the online world, trying to start her gig as a life coach.
Kendrick hired me to help her put together her coaching offers and start getting new clients. Through this coach-client relationship, we started to get to know one another better.
A month or two later, I posted to our private mastermind group, “I think I need to learn about sales. I’m getting a lot of perfect prospects on the phone, but they’re not saying yes to working with me.”
Kendrick replied, “I used to work in pharmaceutical sales, and I might be able to offer some ideas. Let’s hop on the phone, and I’ll see what I can do to help.”

A: Kendrick’s really clear on this: Authentic Selling® University will not help you find or define your niche. Q: I’ve hired a ton of people to help me start my business: a website designer, a copywriter, and even a business coach. I’ve spent a ton of money but haven’t seen any results. A: First off, I’m sorry to hear that you’ve invested a ton in your business and have not seen the return. I know that can be terribly disheartening and frustrating.
I also see a trend: relying on other people to make your business work. I see this a lot with new entrepreneurs. They shell out a ton of cash to get started in a business that they have no experience in. Authentic Selling® University could help turn that problem around—or it could perpetuate it! You need to learn to be in the driver’s seat of your business if you want to be successful. Will this investment be different? Only you can know.
Q: I have an online business, but I’m just doing it on the side while I have a full-time day job to support me. Because of that, my business is still pretty small. I’m also a mom with little free time. Should I take Authentic Selling® University?
A: If you’re ready to learn and implement sales in your business, Authentic Selling® University is absolutely your next step. The majority of business owners who start out are working a full-time job and have busy lives while building their businesses on the side. It’s normal, and you’ll be in great company!
To help you succeed, set aside however much time you can each week to step through the material and implement what you learn. Even if it takes more than a few months to take action on everything, it’s fine! Stick with it, and step by step you will see results.
The bottom line is this: If you don’t already have sales skills, you need to learn them. And Authentic Selling® University has got you covered!
Q: I currently have a ton of debt and money is tight, but I realize I need to learn some sales in order to make money to pay off that debt. Should I invest, possibly going further into debt, to build my business?
A: I will never offer advice on how an individual should manage their personal finances. We each need to make the best decisions for ourselves given our circumstances.
Some people are comfortable taking on more debt when they know it will benefit them in the long run; others shy away from debt and would prefer to wait until they can pay in full.
That said, here are some things to consider as you work through this decision for yourself:
- Are you buying into one more program in sheer hopes of it being your saving grace or magic pill? (Be honest!)
- Is the debt something you have under control, like it’s a school loan that you are making payments on every month, even though it’s ginormous? Or is it out of control, growing every month, and you’re struggling to make the minimum payments?
You know yourself best. Before you jump into creating more debt, look at your situation from several angles—practical, logical, and emotional—and really see if Authentic Selling® University (formerly known as Sales School) will help you change your situation or perpetuate the situation you’re currently stuck in.
No program will be an instant money-maker. Building an online business takes time, determination, and lots of hard work.
At the same time, it’s totally possible to create financial success in an online business. I’ve done it, my clients have done it, and I know other business owners (and Authentic Selling® University students) who have done it, too.
However, taking Authentic Selling® University alone doesn’t guarantee a monetary return; but I have found what Kendrick teaches to be one of the key ingredients to my success.
